What happens in 2027
Starting in 2027, Clippie takes under 2% per groom as a platform fee, and standard credit card processing fees apply (~2.9% + 30¢). There is never a monthly software subscription ($0/month) — meaning if you take time off or have a slower week, software costs you zero. Pet parents pay a 5% Clippie platform fee, shown at checkout before they confirm.

Simple, Honest Pricing — No Software Rent
Generic kennel software charges $50 to $150+ every month whether your table is full or you are on vacation. Clippie takes the opposite approach: $0 monthly fees, forever. We only earn when you complete a groom — taking under 2%, while standard card processing covers Stripe.
Always true, both eras: no monthly fee, no subscription, no charge on unbooked time, and tips pass through 100% (minus only their card processing). We put the future rate in writing now so there’s never a bait-and-switch conversation later.
It’s in the Terms, not just on this page
The Terms of Service state the schedule itself: 0% through December 31, 2026, and the standard 5% + 5% on bookings charged from January 1, 2027. The rate that applies to a booking is the one in effect when it is charged.
