Clippie is deliberately boring about money — you always know what’s next:
- At booking: if your groomer’s policy takes a deposit, it’s held on your card. It counts toward the total — never an extra charge.
- At completion: your card on file is charged for exactly the services performed (skipped services aren’t charged), minus the deposit already held.
- Through 2026: you pay the groomer’s price — no added fee. From 2027 a 5% convenience fee applies, always shown before you confirm.
- Receipts: every charge shows up in the app on the appointment, itemized.
Price can only change mid-visit in two ways: small adjustments (up to $25 or 15% — a nail grind added on the table) apply directly; anything bigger asks you to approve in the app first. Your card is never surprised.
