Booking requests, confirmations, report cards, and tips all arrive as notifications — a groomer with silent notifications is losing bookings. The fix list, in order:
- System permission: Settings → Notifications → Clippie → allowed? (The app asks once on first run; "Don’t allow" sticks until changed here.)
- Focus / Do Not Disturb: check Clippie isn’t filtered by a Focus mode (iPhone) or notification policy (Android).
- Battery savers (Android): aggressive battery modes can kill background delivery — exempt Clippie.
- Sign out and back in: refreshes your device’s push registration.
- Reinstall as the last resort — your account and data live on the server, nothing is lost.
In-app settings let you tune which notifications you get — if only some types are missing, check those toggles first.
