Privacy Policy

Tesserapps, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as "Clippie" ("Clippie", "we", "us"), operates a mobile application and website that connect pet parents with independent pet groomers for booking, payment, and communication. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Clippie app and clippieapp.com.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the identifier those services share with us.
  • Pet profiles: pet names, breed, age, coat and temperament notes, photos, and grooming history you or your groomer add.
  • Booking information: appointments, services, prices, messages between you and your groomer, and groom report cards (including photos).
  • Addresses and location: service addresses you save, and — with your permission — device location to show nearby groomers. Optional home-access notes (e.g. gate codes) you choose to provide for mobile grooming visits.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe. Clippie never stores full card numbers; we keep only tokens, transaction records, and payout status. Stripe's handling is governed by its own privacy policy.
  • Usage and device data: app interactions and diagnostics via Firebase Analytics (advertising-ID collection is disabled), device type, and push-notification tokens.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: bookings, payments, reminders, rebooking, messaging, and groom report cards.
  • To share what's needed with your groomer or client: a groomer sees the pet profile, service address, and booking details for their appointments; a pet parent sees their groomer's business profile and services.
  • To operate the business: fraud prevention, support, service improvement, and legal compliance.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with: the groomer or pet parent on the other side of your booking to facilitate services; referral partners (if you signed up via a partner link, we share limited registration status, attribution dates, and calculated referral payout figures to track their commission); service providers that run the platform (Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for hosting, Google Firebase for analytics and notifications); and authorities when the law requires it. If Clippie is ever acquired, your data would transfer under this policy's protections.

Your privacy rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, wherever you live. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others — additionally have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under those laws, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

  • Delete your account: use the delete-account option in the app's settings, or email us and we will complete deletion within 30 days.
  • Everything else: email hello@clippieapp.com.

Data retention & security

We keep account data while your account is active and transaction records as long as tax and payment regulations require. Data is encrypted in transit; authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Children

Clippie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the effective date; material changes will be announced in the app.
